Three traffic wardens manhandled SDO LESCO Engineer Kashif Imran, snatched cell phone and keys of his official vehicle near Bhalla Chowk Johar Town on Wednesday. 
The victim has submitted application against the accused wardens and inspector Mohsin to Chief Traffic Officer for justice and action against accused officials. 

The complainant told APNN that he was on his way to home from office and as he reached near Bhalla Chowk in one hour from Iqbal Town, he found one side of the road blocked with fruit carts. He found the empty road to reach Allah Hu where Inspector Mohsin, warden Abbas and another unknown warden stopped his vehicle by hitting the screen with a metallic instrument. The Lesco officer told them that he needed to reach home but the wardens pulled his car keys and dragged him out of the car by pulling arm-collar. He alleged that the wardens also took his license and threatened to cancel his license. They neither issued him challan nor give any receipt of the license. The road users gathered there and rescued the officer as the latter alleged that wardens were all set to give him a good thrash. Safe City cameras would also help proving the manhandling of wardens, he added. He urged the CTO to hold inquiry into the incident and take strict action against accused officials.

 
The commuters talking to The APNN alleged that the wardens help encroaching roads through vendors and then manhandle with notable citizens just to issue challans. PRO to CTO said action will be taken against wardens if they were found guilty.
